Expansion Strengthens Nusil’s Position as Leading Supplier of Silicone Materials for Healthcare, Aerospace, Electronics, and Photonics Markets

Carpinteria, California - October 22, 2003 - NuSil Technology, a leading formulator and manufacturer of silicone compounds for healthcare, aerospace, electronics and photonics, today announced the expansion and modernization of R&D and production development departments. This facilities development effort expands NuSil’s capacity to perform research and development projects for next generation silicone materials by 100%.

The Corporate headquarters facility of NuSil Technology located at 1050 Cindy Lane in Carpinteria, California, went under a major renovation to expand and improve operations, modernize manufacturing and better service existing and new customers. The renovation expands Marketing, Research and Development and Product Development groups to meet future needs, and includes new offices, laboratories, mixing and packaging areas and a white room for clean room type manufacturing. The power in the building was also doubled to support new advanced manufacturing equipment.
