NuSil Technology’s Bakersfield Facility Now FDA-Registered Manufacturing Site

Carpinteria, CA - June 2, 2005 - NuSil Technology, a cutting-edge manufacturer of silicone compounds for the healthcare, aerospace, electronics and photonics industries, recently announced that its Bakersfield, California, facility is registered as a manufacturing site with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
NuSil’s 2004 acquisition of the ingestible Simethicone products from GE Advanced Materials Division prompted the Bakersfield site’s registration. Since the acquisition, NuSil has expanded its Bakersfield operations to accommodate the new product line.
“We built a plant from the ground up and installed specialized manufacturing equipment to support this product line,” said Dick Compton, founder and CEO. “The FDA registration of this facility helps move NuSil forward in the production of Simethicones”
