NuSil Technology Delivers Soft HCR to Healthcare and Medical Device Industries
With the lowest durometer in NuSil’s extensive line of HCRs, the MED-4714 final product is a soft, pliable silicone elastomer with a nominal 14 Type A durometer. It is designed for extrusion, transfer or compression molding, as well as calendering processes. In addition, the product cures with heat without the release of volatile byproducts or peroxide residues and does not require a post cure, which is often needed for other silicone HCRs...

NuSil To Demostrate Silicone Primer Processing And Application
Silicone encapsulants are widely used in the LED industry and their adhesion to
leadframe and other structural substrates is critical to the reliability of the device.
Silicone primer technology has been demonstrated to significantly improve adhesion of
silicones to a range of substrates. NuSil recommends carefully evaluating the
application of silicone primers by spraying, wiping and dipping processes.
“NuSil’s experience with silicone primers, both in formulating and partnering with
customers for optimal processing has given the company expertise in this area,“
said Brian Nash, vice president of Marketing and Sales. “Our primer demonstration will
provide attendees with a better understanding of the technology and applications.“..
